What is a hackathon?

A hackathon is an event, in which a large number of people form teams to build out their ideas using technology. The theme of this hackathon will be building products for the community.

What if I have an idea but can't make it?

No worries! Post your idea here and a few teams might work on it during the hackthon!

Do I need to be a Muslim to attend?

No, the hackathon is open to everyone. We'd love to see people from all backgrounds come together to solve a problem.

What if I just want to attend the keynote?

If you just want to attend the keynote speach and the need pitching session, attendance is free. You don't have to RSVP!

How many people can be on the team?

Team sizes could be anywhere from 3 - 6 members.

What should I bring?

Bring your computer, any external peripherals you may need (chargers, monitors, etc.), any other hardware that you definitely plan on using, and an open mind. Also bring a change of clothes, a toothbrush, and any other toiletries you may need. You may also bring a sleeping bag if you plan on staying overnight.
